Biography
Renaissance is a devil planeswalker from New Capenna. They are a vampire and a member of the Maestro Family, currently holding the position of Extraplanar Ambassador. They are also commonly known by their alias, “The Scarlet Angel,” a moniker they were given during the early years of their career as an assassin.

Appearance
Renaissance is very tall by devil standards, standing at around 5’10" (horns included), and has a thin body type. Their hair is black and kept short and spiky, and they have a short, neatly-trimmed beard. They have pale gold eyes with white pupils. Their skin is bright red, fading to dark gray at the ends of their horns and tail. Their right hand is dried-up and mummified, and has long, crystalline claws for nails.
Renaissance tends to dress mostly in formal-wear, either Capennan or matching the style of the plane they’re currently on. Their coat, which has the ability to have its shape changed by the wearer, is usually kept long and black, with gold and/or red accents. They have a heavy preference for gold jewelry, and wear multiple pieces of it whenever they can.
Personality
Renaissance is a Maestro, through and through. They are dramatic and theatrical, enjoying the spotlight whenever the opportunity to perform arises, but they are also highly professional, and care deeply about the quality of their work. As a semi-public figure, by Capennan standards, they are incredibly aware of their own image and reputation, even if neither is very respectable to most people. They have a deep-seated discomfort with magic that affects the mind, and they often wear an amulet that keeps them from being magically tracked or spied on, and from having their thoughts read.
As someone who once killed for a living, Renaissance is very candid and open about violence, finding little to no discomfort in either talking about or performing it. This often unnerves people who aren’t used to it, especially those from planes other than New Capenna. Despite this, however, they are not an unreasonable or unkind person, and unless given a reason not to, they will go out of their way to be polite to people whether they know them or not. They especially have a soft spot for children and people who are down on their luck, and have shown themself to be surprisingly kind under the right circumstances.
